Did you already know?
You can extend the counter for the file name of data carrier files to 6 digits.
We have already processed several reports in the hotline that had to do with duplicate file names, e.g. for outgoing payments.
The background to this is the fact that in the former IBM i folder system, file names were only allowed to have 8 digits. As the first four digits are reserved by the country and the payment type, only four digits remained for the counter. In the list of data carriers, the file name is supplemented by an underscore so that the two elements are more clearly recognizable.
