New display options in DCW

Did you already know?

In DCW, you can now quickly switch between displaying the account sheet and its bookings, in both directions! All you need is a current DCW version (at least October 2022).

How does the quick switch work?

We use a function that has been available in DCW for some time, but has not yet been used in accounting: The so-called display options.

Both in the “Display account” program and in the “Display account sheet” or “Maintain account sheet”, the function key F23=More functions is available. This opens a menu window which you can use to branch directly to the other program in display mode. Below you can see the window that is displayed in the account sheet when you press F23.

You can see that you can not only jump to “Display account”, but also to the address or the where-used list.

Can you do more?

We have designed the display options in such a way that you can also expand the options with your own selection options – if you wish. For example, you can branch from DCW to your ERP or merchandise management system if this is also running on the IBM i (AS400). Of course, you need the appropriate programs here, which must be programmed by your IT department or, if desired, by our developers and then entered in a program in the DCW interface.
