Splitting of bank statements
Did you know?
Portolan offers a new consulting solution for its DCW software called “Splitting Account Statements,” which is an extension of the existing “0313 Electronic Banking” module that allows bank statements to be imported into the DCW system.
Why this extension?
The introduction of the new camt.053 format for the transfer of account statement data from banks to their customers has resulted in a change that has a significant impact on working with account statements in DCW. Whereas in the old MT940 format, several statement files were usually sent per day, separated by incoming and outgoing payments and/or by number of items, today the data is predominantly transferred as a single file containing all transactions for a given day. However, as only one person can process a statement at a time in DCW, this may slow down the process of processing account statements.
With this consulting solution, we enable the splitting of a single file into several extracts that can be processed in parallel in DCW.
What does the consulting solution offer?
The main component of the solution is a table (B3308) that can be used to control whether and how a client’s account statements should be split. The following options are available:
- Separation according to incoming and outgoing payments
- Separation after a certain number of positions (e.g. 10)
- Separation by account grouping
In addition, the option to sort the separate statements in ascending or descending order by amount has been added.
In addition to the table, the corresponding programmes are of course also part of the solution.
How do you obtain the consulting solution?
If you are interested in this solution, we will be happy to send you a quote. The price of the CL is EUR 500. Delivery is carried out in the usual manner as part of the PTF process. If you have a programme version that is newer than 01.12.2025, we offer delivery in the form of a save file that can be installed outside of the PTF process for an additional charge of EUR 250.
If you do not yet import your bank statements via our electronic banking module but would like to do so in future, please contact us.
