Almost a year of DCW - where are we now?

In April 2024, Portolan took over the management of the DCW financial solution. What has happened since then?

The news was received very positively by DCW users – who remain convinced – and led to a rapid switch to Portolan’s support. In Germany, the number of companies that have concluded a maintenance contract with Portolan has even increased. This is because customers without maintenance now believe in the future of their product again

Managing Director Joachim Nürk also confirms this course: “We are sticking to the time frame.

Here, we are guided by IBM’s commitments, which are currently valid until 2035. We are fully on board with this and if our customers remain loyal to us, they can mentally tick off the issue of support/maintenance for their DCW solution until 2035.”

But the software is not only operated and maintained reliably in technical and functional terms. The Portolan portfolio includes a number of additional packages that can be used to extend the DCW solution. In the past, the company has often combined its controlling and analysis tools with the DCW financial solution. In future, this will offer DCW users the opportunity to utilise their product even more widely with tried and tested add-on functions.
