Digitization at petz industries: Successful start with JobRouter

On May 7, 2025, petz industries GmbH & Co. KG set an important milestone in its digitalization strategy: the successful go-live of the JobRouter digitalization platform. With this step, the company is taking a big leap towards a paperless office and automated business processes.

Rethinking invoice processing

The digital invoice receipt process is at the heart of the project. This now not only processes e-invoices, but also uses OCR technology to automatically recognize traditional receipts. From import to electronic posting, the entire process is mapped seamlessly – with direct transfer to the PORTOLAN EVM system.

Particularly noteworthy: both cost invoices and inventory-managed invoices are automatically recognized and integrated into the PORTOLAN EVM system as well as the ERP system trend SWM. This ensures efficient further processing and saves valuable time in accounting.

More transparency and control

Another advantage is the feedback from the accounting department: information such as booking status, due dates, supplier classification or set payment blocks are now automatically fed back into the electronic invoice receipt book (RE book). This not only improves transparency, but also the control and evaluation options enormously.

Document management at the next level

But incoming invoices are just the beginning. The digital transfer of other documents such as orders, order confirmations and delivery bills was implemented at the same time. All documents are stored in the JobRouter archive in an audit-proof manner.

Account statements are now also managed digitally – in a separate archive area with simplified indexing and targeted assignment of rights for greater security.

And it continues: further ERP-generated documents are already ready for integration and will also be transferred to the archive system in the coming weeks.
